Eligibility Criteria

The overall purpose and mission is to provide at least one scholarship annually, beginning in spring 2014, to a graduating high school senior, planning to attend a four-year college to pursue a health care or nursing degree, from one of the following high schools:

• Troy High School
• Schalmont High School, Rotterdam, N.Y.
• Schenectady High School
• Albany City High School
• Smithtown High School East

Applicant Requirements

• Accepted to a four-year college to pursue a four -year degree in the health care or nursing.
• Have a minimum grade point average of 87% or 3.3.

• Demonstration of Financial Need
• Academic Achievement
• Participation in Activities
• Achievements
• Awards / Recognition
• Work History

Special consideration will be given to students who are experiencing specific hardships or have overcome significant obstacles towards achieving academic and personal success. The case for consideration in these areas can be provided in the application essay and references.
